PM Perspectives: GSA CIO Casey Coleman

The General Services Administration (GSA) has begun a new initiative to take control of projects. Dubbed a “Slam,” the technique unites high-level project stakeholders from across the organization in a single meeting room to hammer out a roadmap to achieve successful project completion. Federal PM Focus recently had a chance to sit down with GSA Chief Information Officer (CIO) Casey Coleman—architect of her agency’s complex IT modernization program and a rising star in the federal tech community—to talk about how a recent Slam helped her get projects on track.

Audit Report: October 2010

FDA Launches Online Performance Management Dashboard

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently launched an online performance management system to track performance against established milestones at the agency, program, and project level. The web-based system, FDA-TRACK, was officially unveiled on August 31, after a pilot program that began in April of this year.
