Arnold Fields, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, resigned on January 10 amid criticism of his leadership from members of Congress. Less than a week earlier, on January 4, Fields had announced organizational changes that aimed to increase use of risk assessment techniques. Whether those changes will be implemented is now unclear.
