FY 2011 Budget Cuts to Limit Online Performance Management Efforts

OPM Approves New IT Program Manager Title

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has approved a new job designation for Information Technology Program Managers. The new job title and description, first proposed on March 30 in a draft standard, was implemented on May 31.

Failed SBInet Program Faces New Woes

The recently-cancelled SBInet program can add poor payment reviews to its list of faults, according to a recent audit by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). In a review of controls over payments to prime contractor Boeing, auditors found that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials regularly approved SBInet invoices that lacked sufficient detail to support costs (GAO-11-68).
